Dr. Eldredge offers outpatient psychological services to adults and older adolescents in individual, couples, and family therapy. Her private practice includes outpatient psychological counseling for people with disabilities through a contract with the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). Dr. Eldredge utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as an eclectic therapeutic style that is tailor-made to each client’s needs.
Holistic: Mind – Body – Spirit
Optimum wellness can be achieved holistically by addressing issues of the Mind, Body, and Spirit. The Mind can heal by developing mindfulness, as well as by dealing with and correcting cognitive errors and mental programming that is not in the client’s highest good. The Body can improve through healthy eating, exercise, sleep, leisure activities, and community involvement. The Spirit can come alive by finding one’s personal philosophy of life, whether it involves nature, religion or spirituality, or one’s reason for existence. If you wish, Dr. Eldredge can help you to explore the spiritual path of your choice. If desired, the value of rituals and ceremonies can also be discussed. Dr. Eldredge respects people of all faiths and creeds, as well as people with no spiritual beliefs.
A high quality of life requires clear communication, which includes self-talk, listening to your own inner wisdom, and communication with and deeply listening to other people. Dr. Eldredge teaches communication strategies and Verbal Self-Defense skills to de-escalate potential conflicts and to respectfully resolve problems.
